I support solar in Vermont. I believe it is important to pursue all kinds of renewable energy that do not rely on fossil fuels. I understand the latest draft rule would put the brakes on some kinds of solar projects. That makes me very sad for my children and grandchildren.I hope you can make it so Vermonters can adopt solar and other renewables more quickly in Vermont.I strongly believe it will prepare us for the future when fossil fuels run low (and eventually out) and will help the global warming situation.

Why your community?

The Greater Montpelier area is an active community and provides many opportunities for residents to participate and have a positive impact on the environment. Since SunCommon launched six years ago, Montpelier, East Montpelier, Middlesex, and Berlin have been leading the way with solar and 200 households have joined the clean energy movement. Today with options for solar canopies, heat pumps, and home energy storage at no upfront cost, it has never been easier to power your life with solar!

It’s no surprise to me that SunCommon serves 1,000 homeowners. The program is truly a no-brainer. Solar is great for so many reasons, but when you get down to brass tacks and start saving Vermonters money, the only question is: why not?
