SunCommon Referral Rewards Program Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions

The SunCommon Referral Rewards Program offers SunCommon customers who refer a friend, family or neighbor (anyone not currently a SunCommon customer) a Referral Reward when their referral has gone solar with SunCommon. If a current customer is installing solar on another property of theirs, or expanding an existing SunCommon system, a referral reward does not apply.  

The SunCommon customer who is initiating the referral will hereinafter be stated as “customer.” The person who was referred by the customer will hereinafter be referred to as “friend.”

The cash awarded will only be paid after the installation is complete. 

For friends that purchase less than 49.99 kW in the form of a Roof Mount, Ground mount, Canopy or own panels in a SunCommon Community Solar Array (CSA), the referral reward is $500. 

For friends that purchase more than 50 kW in the form of a Roof Mount, Ground mount, Canopy or own panels in a SunCommon Community Solar Array (CSA), the referral reward is $1,000.

No referral reward is offered for EV Chargers, Powerwalls, or CSA Subscriptions. 

For a customer to qualify for a referral reward, their name must be indicated as the “Referrer” on the friend’s account. For this to occur, one of following actions must happen:

1. The customer must complete the SunCommon Quick Referral Form.
2. The friend must inform their Solar Advisor or Solar Home Advisor that they were  referred and provide the customer’s name, prior to signing their Solar Agreement.
3. The friend must be referred to SunCommon directly through the mysuncommon.com portal, which links the friend and customer through the customer’s unique referral URL.

SunCommon will notify customers of a referral in progress once the friend signs their Solar Agreement. Once the friend’s solar system installation is complete, the customer will be notified and will receive their reward check within 90 days of the date of completion. 

In the case where two (or more) SunCommon customers refer the same friend, the customers will split the reward equally .

This program applies to referrals made after the program’s start date of March 19, 2020 and will continue until we end it, which could come at any time without notification to those participating. The value of the Referral reward may be taxable income to you, and we may be required to send you a Form 1099-MISC and file it with the IRS. You are responsible for any federal or state taxes resulting from the Referral reward.
