NY Drawdown Series: Newburgh Free Public Library

March 21, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

During the month of March, the New York Public Library Association is mobilizing statewide book discussions of Drawdown: The Most Comprehensive Plan Ever Proposed to Reverse Global Warming, edited by Paul Hawken. Drawdown outlines the 100 most substantive solutions to global warming, as identified through rigorous scientific research, via short, readable essays. Within each solution, Drawdown describe its history, the carbon impact it provides, the relative cost and savings, the path to adoption, and how it works.

SunCommon is supplementing those efforts by partnering with small local bookstores to get more copies of the book into people’s hands and starting conversations about local solutions to global challenges posed by the warming climate.

Join SunCommon and our partners at the Newburgh Free Public Library! Be part of some engaging conversations around how we each can individually and collectively impact climate change. SunCommon will offer a FREE copy of Drawdown, purchased from a local bookstore, to the first twenty attendees.
