NY Drawdown Series: The Golden Notebook

March 24, 2019 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

At SunCommon we believe everyone has the right to a healthy environment. During the month of March, the New York Public Library Association is mobilizing statewide book discussions of “Drawdown: The Most Comprehensive Plan Ever Proposed to Reverse Global Warming,” edited by Paul Hawkens. We at SunCommon are supplementing those efforts by partnering with small local bookstores to get copies of the book in more people’s hands while also starting conversations about local solutions to global challenges posed by the warming climate.

Drawdown outlines the 100 most substantive solutions to global warming, as identified through rigorous scientific research, via short, readable essays. Within each solution, Drawdown describe its history, the carbon impact it provides, the relative cost and savings, the path to adoption, and how it works.

Join SunCommon and our partners at The Golden Notebook! Enjoy some coffee or tea and be part of some engaging conversations around how we each can individually and collectively impact climate change. SunCommon will offer a FREE copy of Drawdown, purchased from The Golden Notebook, to the first fifteen attendees.

The Golden Notebook is located at 29 Tinker Street in the heart of Woodstock, New York. They are a general independent bookstore that has helped readers of all ages find the books they need and the books they love since 1978. Come say hello!
