KURT MELIN

Kurt grew up near Indianapolis, Indiana. He developed a love for the outdoors and hiked part of the Appalachian trail and the Long trail.  He liked Vermont so much he decided to stay, and did construction work on hiking trails for the next 10 years with the Green Mountain Club.  He learned to ski and has worked at Mad River Glen for the last 7 winters.  He met his wife Mari while working on the trail crew and they now have a toddler named Ilze and cat Twiggy at their house in Jericho.  Kurt wanted to join Suncommon because of their commitments to the environment and to people. He is happy to still be working outside rain or shine!
