Commercial solar systems have excellent return on investment, supported by the federal tax credit covering 30% of project costs, federal accelerated depreciation savings, and individual state incentives. These discounts can translate to recouping nearly half of the cost of your system in the first year of install, and recovering the entire cost within five years. With typical financing and incentives, commercial solar projects have positive cash flow from Year One. That means decades of free electricity and energy independence!
Commercial Solar
SunCommon is your trusted partner for commercial solar. We’ve helped business owners in every sector, including manufacturing, retail, healthcare, agriculture, office and apartment buildings, hospitality and more, strengthen their bottom line with clean energy from the sun.
We’re committed to our customers not only to brew the best quality beers we can, but to take leadership in addressing our climate challenges, too. Going solar was a natural step. We chose SunCommon as our solar partner because we wanted to work with a company who is invested in our community, and who shares our B Corp values. It has been an absolute pleasure working with them.
Groennfell Meadery went solar with SunCommon in 2020, virtually covering the roof of their meadery in solar panels. As a fellow Certified B Corp, they believe that their decisions as a company can have a big impact on the environment and therefore strive to make sustainable business choices as much as possible. They are an independent, woman-owned brewhouse, and, in part thanks to their solar array, a 100% renewably powered operation.
Lawson’s set out to source the best ingredients, invest in state-of-the-art equipment, brew the best beer possible, and cultivate healthy, vibrant communities. That’s why offsetting their brewery’s utility bill through renewable energy was so important. In 2022, SunCommon completed construction of the largest solar canopy in Vermont at their Waitsfield brewery and taproom, which produces enough energy to power 50% of their operations — equal to the brewing and pouring of 7,766 beers a day!

Why are breweries going solar?
It takes a lot of energy to create our favorite beverages, and local craft breweries are looking to solar as an energy source to help cut costs and carbon emissions.
