Add Batteries, Add Savings

If you’re considering adding batteries to power your home during an outage, NYSERDA also provides up to an additional $5,000 depending on the quantity of batteries you install. Adding home energy storage to your project makes sense if you’re worried about running a well pump, working from home, or even something as simple as keeping your lights on during a power outage.

How do I get these credits?

You can claim the New York State Solar Tax Credit for the year your system is installed. If the full amount of the credit cannot be used in one year, it can be carried forward for up to five years. So you can still benefit from the credit even if you don’t have enough tax liability in a single year.

Our Solar Home Advisors are experts in getting these credits plus any other financial incentives that put your solar project within reach! Let us know a little about yourself and your home and we can help you understand your options.
