Waterbury Record: SunCommon to launch new solar program

SunCommon, a solar company based in Waterbury Center, will launch a new program with an event in Stowe today, Thursday, May 8.

SunCommon launched two years ago with the belief that everyone should have access to clean, renewable energy. The company has teamed up with local credit unions to provide financing that allows people to go solar at no upfront cost, and then SunCommon takes care of all the logistics and permitting to make the experience as easy as possible.

The new program, Solar Home Heating & Cooling, allows people to use solar panels on their roof or in their backyard to heat their homes at one-third the price of oil or propane.

The launch event takes place at the Vermont Ale House from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Ale House appetizers and Switchback beers will be served.
