Solar Home Advisors are members of SunCommon's residential sales team. They educate homeowners on the growing role that solar is playing in our clean energy future. They have a good technical grasp of how solar energy works, how solar projects are permitted, and the benefits that solar can provide. Our Solar Home Advisors help break down barriers to solar and are there for our customers when they need us.
Kris grew up in the Hudson Valley and then promptly took off for Los Angeles after college to work in the film & television industry. She started her career working at Ron Howard’s company, Imagine Entertainment and ended up spending the bulk of her career with another 70’s icon… Rob Reiner, at Castle Rock Entertainment.
Being an Anthropology major in college, she found herself more and more drawn toward social issues. After discovering B-Corps and the values they stood for, she made it her mission to work for one. With next to no B-Corps in the entertainment field she shifted her focus to her other passions like the pressing need for environmental sustainability and renewable energy.
After relocating back to Rhinebeck and NY she heard Hudson Solar, a company with an owner she already admired, had merged with SunCommon and knew this was a sign! She made it her mission to work here and is thrilled to have met that goal! When not espousing the joys of solar energy, Kris loves to give people tips on how to live well below their means without compromising comfort and value. She also loves to travel, explore new cultures, spend time outdoors and enjoy all the Hudson Valley has to offer including being able to mow the lawn and shovel the driveway… something she was unable to do in Southern CA.
