KAYLA HOFFMAN

Community Outreach Organizer

Solar Community Organizers are the folks who are out and about educating and assisting, one town at a time.

After growing up in sunny, South Florida amongst alligators, snakes, and lizards, Kayla travelled all over the world. With a degree in English from Florida Gulf Coast University and a promoted sense of responsibility for environmental well-being, Kayla stumbled upon Vermont and the natural beauty captured her; With farms, solar panels glittering in yards and on roofs, clouds casting shadows on the mountains, and a local concern for the natural world, she finally settled. After witnessing so much disregard for the environment down in Florida, Kayla realized she was home in Vermont. Work in customer service, hospitality, and volunteering on farms, and elementary schools have given Kayla the privilege of working closely with people and enjoying the care and gratitude that goes along with it. SunCommon’s consideration for people and the planet resonates strongly with Kayla and she has finally found a way to include her sense of intention, responsibility, and care into action.
