JOE ZIETZ

Solar Home Advisor

Solar Home Advisors are members of SunCommon's residential sales team. They educate homeowners on the growing role that solar is playing in our clean energy future. They have a good technical grasp of how solar energy works, how solar projects are permitted, and the benefits that solar can provide. Our Solar Home Advisors help break down barriers to solar and are there for our customers when they need us.

I hope we meet real soon, so please allow me a few moments to tell you more about myself and why I want to share our vision with you.

I have a diverse background growing up on a homestead and working as an apprentice Cabinetmaker in my early years in Michigan. I found myself switching to high tech and moving to NY to work for IBM. After almost 17 years and many positions I resigned in 1998 to evaluate the future and my greater purpose on this planet. I took a year to travel and volunteer service in places like Haiti, Africa and the Middle East. I returned as a small remodeling contractor and home improvement sales. I entered the solar world around 2011 and went solar myself in 2012. I left the solar industry in 2017 because the industry had lost their focus for the customer and community focusing only on profit. After 2 years in the green building industry I have returned to solar following SunCommon’s arrival to the Hudson Valley and our unabashed commitment to people, planet and then profit.

It is easy to take the first step towards a brighter future with SunCommon. It’s my pleasure is help you. I promise it will be a simple, efficient, stress free and joyful experience. You will wonder ‘why haven’t I done this sooner’?

Joe resides in Lake Katrine with his wife Goldie, and three children Chavvah, Olivia and Zechariah. He has three grandchildren, Emma, Sophia and Blake by his oldest Megan. When not working he is likely to be in the woods or on East Caroga Lake enjoying God’s creation or volunteering around the community.
