Hallowgreen: Clean Energy Tips & Treats – Kingston, NY

October 24, 2019 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

It’s Halloween season, and if you’re like us you probably can’t think of any scarier monster than climate change. Spooked by your electric bill? Haunted by your carbon footprint? Freaked out by the fossil fuel skeletons in your closet? 💀

Join New Yorkers for Clean Power, SunCommon, Heat Smart Ulster-Sullivan, Sustainable Hudson Valley, other local environmental community groups, and a broad range of clean energy and energy efficiency providers for an interactive and empowering evening of tips and treats to help you green your home and life! 💡

We’ll have fun music, a small assortment of drinks and snacks, and approachable experts in their Halloween best ready to talk to you about your particular needs. Discuss solar energy, geothermal and air-source heating and cooling, energy efficiency, electric vehicles, local community-scale climate action, and ways to reduce your own family’s carbon footprint. There will be a coloring station for kids, including a Make Your Own Trick-or-Treat Bag activity, with info and treats at every table to take home. 🎃

On the hour at 6 and 7 pm, we’ll have rapid-fire 3-4 minute presentations from each organization about what they do, to help you decide which tables to visit. Kids are welcome, and Halloween costumes are encouraged. Come get the info you need to green-up your life in a laid-back, fun setting, and step into the fall season ready to turn over a new, renewable leaf! 🍁

If you’d like to be added to our exhibitors, please fill out this form, and we’ll be in touch.
