Who Needs a Generator When You Can Have a Powerwall Instead?
Amy and her husband went solar back in 2020, and have really appreciated the teaching opportunity it provides for their three children as they enter adulthood. And the same way that Amy and her husband were taught environmental stewardship by their parents, she has been so happy to be able to pass that message along to their children in such a tangible way. “I think that what you grow up with, what your family does, and what you discuss around the dinner table- those things make a big difference in our childrens’ whole mindset and world view,” she said.
And going solar has made sound financial sense for Amy’s family. Their loan payment for their solar system was roughly the same amount as their electricity bill had been. And now they’ve paid off the loan and are saving $150-200 per month!
