KEVIN IMPERIA

Grassroots Solar Organizer

Solar Community Organizers are the folks who are out and about educating and assisting Vermonters go solar, one town at a time.

Hailing from the suburbs of New York, Kevin is a tried and true north-easterner who traded the hustle and bustle of his hometown metropolis after first touching down in Burlington to begin life as a Purple Knight at Saint Michael’s College. While attending Saint Michael’s, Kevin not only studied Philosophy and Business, but became an active member of numerous community based programs working to stimulate and diversify a locale understanding and awareness of hunger and homelessness. Kevin’s passion for community building, outreach, and engagement found him a home at VPIRG, a statewide environmental and consumer advocacy group, where he led campaigns in address of domestic chemical toxins, child welfare, political finance reform, and the successful and sustained implementation of our nation’s inaugural carbon tax initiative. When Kevin isn’t changing the world one solar system at a time, you can find him enjoying the great outdoors aside his trusty pup Ripple, or on his fishing boat that proudly calls Lake Champlain home.
