Solar Journey, Month One

SunCommon Prius

The Inaugural month of SunCommon has been chock full of awesome new stuff: new knowledge, new friends, new tools and new digs.

Energy Mill

Highlights of the past month have been:

Our first day at work

Complete with cider donuts from the Cider Mill down the street where we started by putting together office furniture in our brand new building, the Energy Mill – a beautiful, net-zero, re-purposed architectural creation!

SunCommon Staff
 Training with our extended family

the Peck Electric crew in the IBEW Training facility – putting inverters and panels together on mock roofs guided by our super competent supplier – SunPower.

Receiving company cars

Our Prius, solar fleet – 9 in all – gorgeously wrapped by Awesome Graphics in Rutland VT Give a look out for us on the streets of Burlington, Montpelier and everywhere in between. And say “Hi!”- we LOVE to wave ;)

SunCommon
Plants

A beautiful touch to our office – lovingly arranged by Jen of Prusak Floral Design. Don’t you want this in your office/house? Swoon.

As you can tell, we couldn’t have done any of this alone. We have just begun our solar journey and can’t wait to meet the many more people who will become a part of our family.

Please introduce yourself!

Great to see new competition for All Earth Renewables’ products. It will be interesting to see how the business model, and relying so completely on SunPower for product and service, functions.

A plea… Have someone proof your core copy with an eye to correcting agreement errors, grammatical erros, punctiation, etc.

    Hope you kick some Butt!

It’s about time we have local people helping people locally through REAL investments not amorphous and shifty schemes, something to shift the whole “capitalist” model from get rich quick to long term solutions of energy modeling and management that is truly beneficial to people and our environment. I once worked in/with the nuclear industry and if the average person knew how these companies operated and the subsidies needed and drawn from us to prop them up they would demand a shutdown as seen in Germany and Japan as “safety” was thrown out the window during inception, let alone continued operation.
My only hope is that you folks can come up here to Orleans County as soon as is practical and I’ll even throw in some blackberry and courant pies for the workers and staff..Hope to see you soon, SM, North Troy
